Set up your organization profile
Chapter 4 · about 3 minutes to read
This is chapter 4 of the Organization track. You signed up, verified, and brought your team in. Now spend three minutes filling in your organization's profile so invoices, emails, and support tickets all look right from day one.
Time: about 3 minutes. Prerequisites: your company's legal name, billing email, and a logo file if you want one.
Where to find it
Open Settings → Organization → Profile in the left sidebar. Everything in this chapter lives on a single page.
Required fields
These four fields must be filled before Zyra will issue an invoice.
- Legal entity name. The exact name on your tax registration — for example, Acme Industries, Inc. This shows on every invoice and contract. If you're still on the default placeholder
[Your Legal Entity](founder-issue-1), update it now so your first invoice doesn't ship with a placeholder. - Display name. Short, friendly name shown in the product UI, emails, and the top-left of the dashboard. Usually the brand name without the legal suffix — Acme instead of Acme Industries, Inc.
- Billing email. Where invoices, receipts, and payment notifications are sent. Use a finance distribution list (
finance@yourcompany.com) rather than a personal inbox. You can list up to three addresses, comma-separated. - Support contact. Email or Slack channel that Zyra's support team uses if we ever need to reach you proactively — for example, a planned-maintenance heads-up or a security advisory affecting your fleet.
Profile metadata
These describe your organization. They are required at first save but easy to change later.
- Industry. Pick the closest match from the dropdown. Used internally for benchmarking and feature prioritization. Not shared externally.
- Employee size. Bucket dropdown: 1-10, 11-50, 51-200, 201-1,000, 1,000-10,000, 10,000+. Helps us suggest sensible defaults later (rate limits, quota tiers, etc.).
- Primary country. Affects the currency on your invoices and which Zyra entity contracts with you. Defaults to the country detected at signup; double-check it.
Optional fields
These polish the experience but are not required.
- Company logo. PNG or SVG, up to 2 MB. Shows in the top-left of the dashboard for everyone in your organization. SVG is preferred — it stays crisp on every screen.
- Brand color. A single hex value (for example,
#1E40AF). Tints the navigation accent, primary buttons, and email templates so the dashboard feels like part of your company's toolset. - Default time zone. What "today" means in dashboards, alerts, and the audit log. Defaults to the time zone of the browser that set up the org; change it if your team is mostly in another region.
Step — Save and verify
Click Save changes at the bottom of the page. Changes propagate to dashboards, emails, and invoices within about 30 seconds. You'll see a green confirmation toast at the top-right corner and the new display name will appear immediately in your sidebar.
Refresh the page to confirm the logo and brand color are applied to the navigation bar.
What just happened
Your next invoice will arrive with your real legal entity name, sent to the right billing inbox. The dashboard now carries your company's branding for every teammate who signs in. The support contact gives Zyra a clean channel if we ever need to reach you, which keeps incident response tight.
Troubleshooting
- Logo upload fails. Confirm the file is under 2 MB and is genuinely PNG or SVG. Some image apps save with the wrong extension; re-export and try again.
- Brand color looks wrong in dark mode. Pick a color with enough contrast against both white and dark backgrounds. Online contrast checkers like webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker help.
- Changes don't appear after 30 seconds. Hard-refresh the browser (Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R) to clear cached static assets.
